| Product description | Functional Grade Mouse Monoclonal antibody [TRAIL-R4-01] to CD264TRAIL-R4 (CD264, TR4, DcR2, TRUNDD), expressed mainly on CD8+ and NK cells, belongs to receptors of TRAIL, a TNF-like membrane toxic protein that induces apoptosis in many tumour cells, but not in normal cells. TRAIL-R4, however, contains partially truncated death domain, thus it is unable to induce apoptosis and serves as a negative regulator of apoptotic signaling by impairment death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) processing. TRAIL-R4 interacts with death receptor 5 (DR5) in the native DISC in a TRAIL-dependent manner and prevents its corecruitment with death receptor 4 (DR4). Entrez Gene: 8p21 |
