Mouse monoclonal [93H3A] to DNA Polymerase epsilonDNA Polymerase epsilon is a histone fold protein that interacts with other histone fold proteins to bind DNA in a sequence independent manner. These histone fold protein dimers combine within larger enzymatic complexes for DNA transcription, replication, and packaging. It is present in proliferating cells and is implicated in the repair of UV damaged DNA. It is found to be a component of a recombination complex that is able to repair deletions and doublestrand breaks.
Immunogen

Tested Applications
IPWB
For IP (Native and denatured): Use at a concentration of 2μg/mg. For WB: Use at a concentration of 2-4μg/ml for 2hrs at RT. By Western blot, this antibody detects a band of 200kDa identified as DNA polymerase epsilon (polepsilon) and 140kDa polepsilon* Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.:
Detects both pol epsilon and polepsilon* (a form of pol epsilon) It does not cross-react with DNA Polymerase alpha or beta. It does not neutralize the polymerase or exonuclease activity of the enzyme.
