Product Profile
Product Name Lamin A + C antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Mouse monoclonal antibody [GT9712] to Lamin A + CThe nuclear lamina consists of a two-dimensional matrix of proteins located next to the inner nuclear membrane. The lamin family of proteins make up the matrix and are highly conserved in evolution. During mitosis, the lamina matrix is reversibly disassembled as the lamin proteins are phosphorylated. Lamin proteins are thought to be involved in nuclear stability, chromatin structure and gene expression. Vertebrate lamins consist of two types, A and B. Through alternate splicing, this gene encodes three type A lamin isoforms. Mutations in this gene lead to several diseases: Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy, familial partial lipodystrophy, limb girdle muscular dystrophy, dilated cardiomyopathy, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, and Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome. Application

Application

Wild-type (WT) and Lamin A + C knockout (KO) HeLa cell extracts (30 µg) were separated by 7.5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with Lamin A + C antibody [GT9712] diluted at 1:500. The HRP-conjugated anti-mouse IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody, and the signal was developed with Trident ECL plus-Enhanced.

Application

Lamin A + C antibody detects Lamin A + C protein at nuclear envelope by immunofluorescent analysis. Sample: HeLa cells were fixed in -20℃ 100% methanol for 5 min. Green: Lamin A + C protein stained by Lamin A + C antibody diluted at 1:500. Blue: Hoechst 33342 staining.

Application

Lamin A + C antibody [GT9712] detects Lamin A + C protein by Western blot analysis. A. 30 μg HeLa whole cell lysate/extract B. 30 μg HeLa nuclear lysate/extract 7.5 % SDS-PAGE Lamin A + C antibody [GT9712] dilution: 1:1000

Application

Immunoprecipitation of Lamin A + C protein from HeLa whole cell extracts using 5 μg of Lamin A + C antibody [GT9712] . Western blot analysis was performed using Lamin A + C antibody [GT9712] . EasyBlot anti-Mouse IgG was used as a secondary reagent.
Positive Control HeLa , HeLa nuclear
