Mouse monoclonal [GP1.4] to MUC1This antibody recognizes the multiple protein epitope that is relatively insensitive to glycosylation. Therefore, it is very sensitive in the detection of episialin expression in different epithelial tissues. EMA = Epithelial Membrane antigen.
Immunogen

Tested Applications
IHCIHC-P
For IHC-P: Use at a dilution of 1:50-1:100 in an ABC method for 30 minutes at RT. Enzymatic predigestion of paraffin embedded tissues is not necessary but in some cases it may enhance the immunostaining. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the researcher.:
Reacts with an antigen of 265-400 kD belonging to a heterogeneous group of heavily glycosylated proteins called human milk fat globule proteins. It stains both normal and neoplastic cells. Among normal epithelia, it reacts strongly with mammary epithelium and glandular epithelia but shows a patchy staining with squamous epithelium.
Cellular Localization
Cell Membrane and Cytoplasmic
