| Product description | Mouse monoclonal antibody to human NOD2, clone 2D9NOD2 is a member of the apoptosis regulating protein family that includes caspase recruitment-domains, as well as Apaf-1 and NOD1. It contains two N-terminal CARDs, a nucleotide binding domain (NBD), and multiple C-terminal leucine-rich repeats (LRRs). NOD2 is expressed in monocytes (whereas NOD1 is expressed in multiple tissues). NOD2 plays a role in regulating NF-kappaB, acts as an intracellular receptor for bacterial lipopolysaccharides, and contributes to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and Crohn's disease. |

| This antibody has been tested for Western blot of NOD2 transfected 293T lysates and HT29 human colorectal adenocarcinoma lysates (endogenous detection has some background) where a band is seen at ~110 kDa. This antibody is useful for immunoprecipitation and immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded ileum or colon sections. Other applications have not been tested. Suggested working dilutions: *Western Blot:0.5-2 ug/ml (ECL)*The investigator should determine the optimal working dilution for a specific application. | |
