Product Profile
Product Name Polycystin 2 antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to Polycystin 2This gene encodes a member of the polycystin protein family. The encoded protein is a multi-pass membrane protein that functions as a calcium permeable cation channel, and is involved in calcium transport and calcium signaling in renal epithelial cells. This protein interacts with polycystin 1, and they may be partners in a common signaling cascade involved in tubular morphogenesis. Mutations in this gene are associated with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease type 2. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
Immunogen Peptide (C)ERWESDDAASQISH, corresponding to amino acid residues 914-927 of human TRPP1 (Accession Q13563). Intracellular, C-terminus.

Application

Application

ICC/IF analysis of C2C12 cells using Polycystin 2 antibody (red) and DAPI (blue). (C) Merged images of panels A and B.

Application

IHC-P analysis of rat kidney using Polycystin 2 antibody at a dilution of 1:100 followed by (A) Alexa Fluor 594 secondary antibody and (B) DAB staining. PT: proximal tubule. DT: distal tubule.

Application

WB analysis of rat kidney membrane proteins (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse kidney lysates (lanes 2 and 4) using Polycystin 2 antibody at a dilution of 1:200 in the absence (lens 1 and 2) or presence (lens 3 and 4) of blocking peptide.
