Western blot analysis of extracts from Jurkat cells treated with starved using Phospho-Trk A (Tyr680/Tyr681) Antibody. The lane on the right is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.
Required for high-affinity binding to nerve growth factor (NGF), neurotrophin-3 and neurotrophin-4/5 but not brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). Known substrates for the Trk receptors are SHC1, PI 3-kinase, and PLC-gamma-1. Has a crucial role in the development and function of the nociceptive reception system as well as establishment of thermal regulation via sweating. Activates ERK1 by either SHC1- or PLC-gamma-1-dependent signaling pathway.1) Liu HY, et al. (2005) J Biol Chem 280, 19461-71
Immunogen
Trk A (phospho Tyr680/681) antibody was raised against a peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of tyrosine 680/tyrosine 681 (T-D-Y (p)-Y (p)-R-V) derived from Human Trk A.
