Mouse monoclonal [PS1] to CD3T cell activation through the antigen receptor (TCR) involves the cytoplasmic tails of the CD3 subunits CD3 gamma, CD3 delta, CD3 epsilon and CD3 zeta. These CD3 subunits are structurally related members of the immunoglobulins super family encoded by closely linked genes on human chromosome 11. The CD3 components have long cytoplasmic tails that associate with cytoplasmic signal transduction molecules. This association is mediated at least in part by a double tyrosine-based motif present in a single copy in the CD3 subunits. CD3 may play a role in TCR-induced growth arrest, cell survival and proliferation.

Tested Applications
IHC-FIHC-P
This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:100 in an ABC method. We suggest an incubation period of 30-60 minutes at room alltemperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation and dilutions should be determined by the user. Heat mediated antigen retrieval of formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues may be required before immunostaining. This antibody works on acetone fixed frozen sections.:
This antibody, when used in conjunction with UCHL-1, is regarded as a reliable pan T-cell marker for immunophenotyping of lymphomas (See reference). Exceptions include some of the more aggressive, high-grade T cell lymphomas, which may not express detectable antigen. This antibody does not react with B-cells.
Cellular Localization
Type I membrane protein.
Application
Application
IHC-P analysis of human tonsil using CD3 antibody [PS1].
Positive Control
Tonsil or T-cell lymphoma.
