Product Profile
Product Name p53 antibody (ready-to-use)
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Mouse monoclonal antibody [Bp53-12] to p53This antibody reacts with an amino terminal epitope (residue 37-45) of human wt and mutant p53 and is non-reactive with murine p53. p53 has been classified as tumor suppressor gene or anti-oncogene. Presence of excess amounts of the mutant form of the protein can lead to functional inactivation of wild type p53. Mutations and allelic loss of the p53 gene have been associated with malignant transformation in a wide variety of human tumors.
Immunogen Recombinant human wild type p53 protein.
Key Feature
Clonality Monoclonal
Isotype IgG2a
Clone Number Bp53-12
Host Species Mouse
Tested Applications IHC-P
This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required. We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining.:
